Apparently the movie came out in 2017 and I guess they thought they were going to get a franchise out of it? Probably trying to cash in on the Game of Thrones hype at the time. It only grossed $146 million vs a total cost of $175 million, so… it didn’t really go anywhere.
Oh, I even remember that! Yeah, that movie looked boring. On the other hand: if you can make a series out of Avatar, you can make a series out of anything
