Bellatrix Lestrange and Minerva McGonagall

But these would be my two choices as well.
I would go with Newt and Minerva. Newt has all the magical creatures and he was friends with Leta Lestrange, so that would maybe confuse Bellatrix.
Newt would get his suitcase obliterated as an opening move, then he is just an OK and timid wizard. Maybe he could muster enough emotion to do some damage with his zoo turned to dust, but he would still be outclassed by half the opponents.
Bellatrix on offense with Minerva doing defense and binding, it would be hard to beat that team.
yeah, I would pick the same combo. You don’t want either one of those to be on your opposing side.
I don’t see Mrs. Weasley on the list. Hard pass. The movies did not do justice to the fury with which that lady attacked LeStrange.

Why has no one picked Flitwick for defense? Isn’t he canonically a former dueling champion?
